Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST)
The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T.) test is designed to determine student undertanding of ELA and Math content. F.A.S.T. testing occurs in grades 3-10 for ELA and 3-8 for Mathematics.
There are three Progress Monitoring (PM) windows for FAST:
-
PM 1 –Designed to provide a baseline score for teachers to track student progress of the B.E.S.T. Standards.
-
PM2 – Provides a mid-year score to compare to the baseline score from PM 1.
-
PM3 – Final administration that provides a summative score that will accurately measure student mastery of the B.E.S.T. Standards for that school year.
